Madeleine Lister has a degree in law from the University of Otago. Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in November 2017, Madeleine joined Edwards Law in July 2017.
Madeleine has a broad range of experience in employment law, including all types of personal grievance claims and restructuring situations, with a particular interest in bullying and harassment investigations and parental leave matters.
Madeleine also has experience in drafting legal documents (including agreements, correspondence, and pleadings). She frequently represents both employee and employer clients in mediations, and in the Employment Relations Authority. Madeleine has also attended judicial settlement conferences and has appeared in the Employment Court.
Madeleine is an outgoing and driven person who enjoys applying her problem-solving skills to assist others. In her free time, she loves cooking (especially anything by Nadia Lim), true crime documentaries, and all things beauty-related.
